If the cancellation is made before 8:00 pm EST on the day before move-in: Prepaid dues and move-in fee will be refunded minus a $100 cancellation fee. If the cancellation is made after 8:00 pm EST on the day before move-in: No refund available for the first week of dues paid. Additional member dues paid beyond the first 7 days will be refunded. This does not include move-in fees, which are non-refundable. If you enrolled in a payment plan for the move-in fee, you will be charged the entire move-in fee as well. If you do not wish to move-in, you must a) Cancel your move-in by midnight (EST) in your dashboard, b) Transfer to a new property (remaining 1st week's dues will be applied to the new home) c) Schedule a move-out date.

How do I book a room?
Send us your city, university, move-in date and budget through the form or on WhatsApp, or press Reserve on any property. We shortlist verified rooms that fit, confirm availability and the exact price, and once you choose, we handle the contract and deposit with you step by step. Most students finish the whole process online.
How do I pay the deposit and rent?
Payments are made securely to the property, usually by card or international bank transfer, to the property or its official booking partner, never to a personal account. Properties set their own payment schedule, often in instalments across the year. Our forex partner can help you pay from India at better exchange rates than a regular bank transfer.
Can I cancel my booking?
Cancellation terms depend on the property. Many offer free cancellation if your visa is refused or your university place falls through. We show you the exact terms before you sign, so you know what happens in each case.
When will my room be confirmed?
Once you reserve, we confirm availability and the exact price within one working day. The property then confirms your booking, usually within 24–48 hours of receiving your documents. You get the booking confirmation in writing from the property.
What documents will I need?
Usually your passport, your university offer letter or enrolment confirmation (a CAS in the UK, an I-20 in the US), and sometimes guarantor details or proof that you can pay. We tell you exactly what each property needs, so you only send what's required.
Can I view the room before booking?
Most students book remotely using verified photos and video tours, which you'll find on many GoDorm property pages. Where a property offers live virtual viewings, we'll set one up. If you're already in the city, ask us and we'll check whether the property offers in-person viewings.
Is support available after I move in?
Yes. Our team stays available 24/7 on WhatsApp, phone and email for anything from a maintenance issue to finding a new room for next year. Day-to-day issues in your room are handled by the property's own team on site, and we step in if something isn't being resolved.
